ABOUT
You write. I buff and burnish. As a developmental editor, I ensure your writing lands effectively, reads clearly, and shows your work in its best form—whether it’s for a book, journal, or magazine. I work in both fiction and nonfiction, with specialty areas in the arts and humanities (especially dance and the performing arts, literature and literary analysis, and visual arts), biography and memoir, and novels and short stories (specifically character-driven works, literary fiction, and magical realism). Available for freelance work on a contractual basis.
For my full-time work, I am a member of the editorial team for Dance Magazine, Pointe, and The Dance Edit, published by Dance Media. I am a former professional dancer with Eugene Ballet (Eugene, OR) and graduated summa cum laude from Butler University in 2020. My degrees include a BFA in Dance Performance, a BA in English Literature, and a certification in Manuscript Editing through the University of Chicago. I am a proud member of the Honors Society of Phi Beta Kappa and the Editorial Freelancers Association.
